uka- Omotesando
A unique, modern multi service beauty salon, uka Omotesando is the creation of perhaps Tokyo’s most famous celebrity manicurist- Kiho Watanabe. There are six uka salons located in Tokyo’s most fashionable and upmarket locations. uka Omotesando is nestled away in a quiet street behind Omotesando Hills, and feels million miles away from the frenetic pace of world renowned fashion and shopping district of Harajuku, which is just moments away by foot.
The salon has a modern, relaxed and homely feel to it, with a unique, large open plan treatment room that is filled with soft, muted light with the outline of leafy trees visible through gauzy curtains. On one side of the unique, large open plan treatment room are three soft leather reclining arm chairs for pedicure and combined treatments, there is a beautiful long antique table for manicure treatments and a seriously impressive collection of nail polish shades. Manicure lovers will fall in love with the enormous collection of nail polish shades in the Luka collection. There is everything from the popular OPI and CND, to the latest from Chanel, Dior and Japanese brands Three and RMK.
uka Omotesando offers first class manicure and pedicure treatments, with fastidious attention to detail and a seriously sophisticated touch. When you visit uka you experience a salon a considerable step above your local nail salon- a beauty haven for the modern woman.

Nail & Nail- Hiroo
Nail & Nail is busy gel nail salon, conveniently located right next to Hiroo station (exit 2), on the 3rd floor above Kobeya Bakery. Best known for their reasonably priced gel manicures and impressive selection of fun nail art designs.
When you arrive at the salon for you treatment you will be asked to pay first, and are then shown over to the large collection of nail art designs that are available. The designs range from simple and modern to elaborate glitter and jewel encrusted designs. Of course you can always opt for a solid colour as well.
The simple, open plan treatment has a number of manicure tables, as well as two comfortable reclining pedicure chairs. Staff work quietly and efficently, so even when the salon is very busy it’s still easy to relax. When you book for both a manicure and pedicure treatments in one visit, you are seated in the reclining chair and two staff members will work simultaneously, which a great time saver.
Reservations are necessary, and can be made in person or on the phone. There is usually a staff member who speaks English, and can help to organise appointments and help with any translation when you visit.
The quality service at Nail & Nail is very good, and the price is the best I have seen in Tokyo, where even basic colour manicure is around ¥8000.

Beauté Absolue has been operating in Minami Azabu since 2001, and has a solid reputation as a high quality salon with excellent therapists. The prices are a little high, but you can expect a perfect manicure or pedicure that really lasts. The therapists at Beauté Absolue are meticulous with their application, ensuring you always get an excellent result.
